[There's a little note left over the journals today. It's directed toward his housemates, but not filtered, because Elliot Nightray doesn't give a damn about filters.]

I had some flowers planted behind the house. Get used to it.

[He doesn't expect there to be any problems, but it was a hell of a lot better than telling them personally.

Alas, Elliot's business with flowers today isn't finished yet. Because his servant has severe anger issues, there is a vase that must be replaced. It'll most likely end up broken again, but today is something of a special occasion, so Elliot will go out of his way to visit the stores and find a vase, and then some flowers to put in it.

Despite being as independent as he is, though, this isn't something he normally does. He's a Nightray, dammit. That's probably why Elliot will do his best to avoid socializing as much as he can. ...more than he already does.]

[Gilbert doesn't bother to reply, because, well, what's wrong with flowers? But when he wanders out just before sunset he uses it as an excuse to head into the back yard and investigate, rather than going for his usual walk around the neighborhood.]

[Elliot will have to go back and check on the flowers sometime (because Leo refuses to handle all the work himself), but seeing Gilbert hanging out back there changes the plan. He has something to ask him.

[He was just looking at the flowers as he pulls a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, but at the question he halts and gives Elliot a mildly puzzled look.]

[Well, Elliot is being as delicate about the situation as they can typically expect. But like the others, Vincent is curious to see just what his brother has done. And he certainly won't complain about more flowers, although he will take care not to treat these too badly. They do belong to his younger brother, after all.

Standing outside, Vincent opens the journal, and writes a reply in flowing script.]
