[There's a little note left over the journals today. It's directed toward his housemates, but not filtered, because Elliot Nightray doesn't give a damn about filters.]

I had some flowers planted behind the house. Get used to it.

[He doesn't expect there to be any problems, but it was a hell of a lot better than telling them personally.

Alas, Elliot's business with flowers today isn't finished yet. Because his servant has severe anger issues, there is a vase that must be replaced. It'll most likely end up broken again, but today is something of a special occasion, so Elliot will go out of his way to visit the stores and find a vase, and then some flowers to put in it.

Despite being as independent as he is, though, this isn't something he normally does. He's a Nightray, dammit. That's probably why Elliot will do his best to avoid socializing as much as he can. ...more than he already does.]

You're a fresh sight~ [She tilts her head a little, noting the tag-along as well.] As for the flowers... Hm, there's a lot of different colors! All of them want attention. [She considers them for a moment before kneeling by an annual with blossoms that are mostly red, but with a frilled edge of white.] I think the Picotee rose (http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT703Rt9UDH-4eHm6vD1omGEqtW73zCcBpcm9PYRuLKxPSxOgPG) is pretty cute... And these orange dahlias (http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR48t4ItQWSfw0p_KDKxHj7F_f9m_GOKmdTJnwz69nPz6zfXfcRuA) really pop out. These salvias (http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSqsep1rsiKvphT1b4PGuTPnHn_VqfdgH-eAIlmursGtTsuH9cU) are a nice purple though. And there's some more of them, kind of an orange-red, over there. Really, they're all colorful--how 'bout we pick a color!

I like those dahlias. [If he wanted them, he would have them, but he still turns to his servant to ask his opinion.] What do you think?

Leo. [A small nod, a gesture for him to show her the vase they'd picked up earlier.] A few extra would be nice.

[He produces it from the bag he's holding (really, whose idea was it to have Leo carry things? It's dangerous). It's a simple one-- slender with a white glaze and a delicate unobtrusive pattern. It looks like it could handle three to four flowers quite easily.]

Oh, how fancy! Okay, so flowers for the vase and a few extra. Just a moment, please. [She kneels down by the flowers, selecting which ones she wants to cut, first pointing at them to single them out before she moves in to snip.]

So are you two living in one of the houses or the apartments? [Small talk, small talk, la la la.]

We're living with some company, so we'd thought that it'd be nice to brighten up the place a little. [After having broken so many breakable things in the living room.]

Ah, the bigger houses are pretty nice. I'm staying in one too, with friends. [Snipping goes by quickly; she bunches four flowers together and moves back to the vase, making a few final cuts to get the heights right for the arrangement.]

Hee... I'm not completely surprised. You kind of give that air of being well-to-do. But it's big enough for what's needed, I think. And how did you guess? I was a flower girl back home too.
