♞ II. written & action.

[Like many others, the recent experiment had caused Elliot Nightray some grief. Unlike everyone else, though, Elliot wasn't worried about his "family" situation now that things were over with. Something else has been worrying him instead. Namely...]

Everyone affected by that experiment had dreams last week, right? Did anyone dream of things that didn't happen? Or things that couldn't have happened?

[Unfortunately, there isn't much to do since it's raining, so housemates can find Elliot sitting near the living room window, reading. It doesn't look like he's enjoying it, though. Something's really bothering him about those dreams.]

[Action] gah sorry so so so late! I've been sick, but if you don't want to backthread, it's ok!

[Break finally looks up, tilting his head at the young Nightray.]

Isn't that interesting? Were they bad dreams? I wonder if you'd be so sure it wasn't true if it were a good dream...

[Action] Oh, no, it's completely fine! No worries. o/

I'd be sure if I didn't remember it happening.

[He doesn't specifically address whether or not they were bad dreams, but it's not hard to guess. He'd be a lot less concerned if they were good dreams of events he simply didn't remember happening.]

[Action] yay~! \o/

Memory is a funny thing isn't it? Seems like it gets fuzzier over time. why is it dreams are so hard to remember? Except this last time. Very clear. Oddly so.

I wonder, do you remember what really happened on the dates in question? Maybe your dreams are just showing you what you'd rather not remember.

Of course I remember. [He sounds a bit indignant. One of those events had only happened two years ago—there was no reason that he shouldn't remember. But the other...] Who could forget things like that so easily? There's nothing I'd rather not remember.
